(THE STORY) → A strong-willed young girl, who has full passion for Interior Design, and vows to help others to create their dream home ● That was how the story of YONG STUDIO first began.

However, the solo mission of this young girl trying to make a name for herself in the Interior Design industry wasn’t blessed with smooth sailing. In the male-dominated industry, her being a green amateur with zero experience, hit right straight into the wall of failure.

Failing to complete her first project left her in debt, tarnished her reputation in the industry; she can barely make ends meet and was thrown into the deepest valley of her life.

Jokingly called herself “Unbeatable Cockroach “(Literally: someone who is not easily defeated), she pulled herself together and marched on with true grit and perseverance. The turning point of her life came when she was awarded the Sri Delima Project, she did a great job, and the rest is history.

That is the story of our Founder, Steph Low Chin Yong. Her vision has led Yong Studio from a One-Woman-Do-It-All small firm into an award-winning Interior Design company favoured by many.

After a decade of working hand-in-hand with the owners in bringing their dream home design to fruition, our mission remains the same, that is to create a harmonious balance between warmth and practicality in a living space our clients can live in comfortably, a place they fondly called HOME.

Moving forward, Steph’s mission is to hire and mentor young, talented, ambitious Interior Designers, helping them to develop their skills and business acumen. Having walked her journey in a rather tough way, Steph hopes her ianitiatives in mentoring these young talents would make their learning curves shorter, easier with fruitful outcome. Her vision is for them to run their own firms with Yong Studio as their resource hub.
